Wind Generator Tower

Below you will see a picture of my generator tower plans, these are still under construction so keep checking back for this pic to be updated. This tower will be a 4 guy wire tilting tower that tilts over to one side for maintenance.

Wind Generator Tower

UPDATE!! - See Bottom of page for pic!

I will eventually have a list of the parts that will make this tower up, this tower is like many other designs on the internet. I figured this design would benefit me the most.

Part List:

1- 1 1/2 inch t

2- 1 inch 90 degree elbows

1- 1 inch nipple that will fit through the T and be able to attache to both 90 degree elbows allowing the t to turn from side to side.

2- 3 foot sections of pipe to be put in the concrete base, that are connected to the 90 degree elbows also.

1 to 3- sections of 10 foot 1-1/2 inch pipe for the tower part that will fit in the 1-1/2 inch T.

1- pipe adapter that will convert 1-1/2 to 1 inch pipe

1- small section of 1 inch pipe to fit in the adapter that connects to the 1-1/2 inch section.

1- 1-1/2 inch floor flange that will connect to the wind generator shaft.

1- 1 1/2 inch nipple that will fit in the floor flange

1- 1 inch diameter thrust bearing that will fit on top of the 1 inch section of pipe that the 1-1/2 inch piece that is in the floor flange will fit over. (This will give the wind generator the ability to turn in the wind).

4- sections of steel cable that will go 3/4 of the way up the pole to be our guy wires.

4- sections of a typ of eye bolt stake that will connect the guy wires to the ground.

4- connectors of some type to connect the guy wires to the tower(will specify later what I use when I put the tower up).
