This is the Hub I recieved with my 260vdc treadmill motor. Notice the 3 drilled holes that were drilled to balance the hub by the manufacturer.
Here is the hub after it has been drilled. I had Curtis at bluechipfab.com drill and tap this hub for me. He is very skilled at all kinds of custom metal work. If you need any custom work done for your project I highly reccomend contacting him. you can contact him through his website here --> bluechipfab.com .
Although I had my hub drilled and tapped by a professional you could do this yourself. I decided not to do this because I am later on going to use this hub for wood blades. The hub above was drilled with a 7/32" drill bit, and tapped with a 1/4" X 20 tapping bit.
Below is the hub with bolts ready to recieve the wind generator blades. Bolts I used were 1/4", by 3/4" long, with 1/4 lock washers.
